My vacation to Mexico was unbelievable It was a last minute idea by my aunt . I remember telling her "lets plan a vaction , Lets go somewhere fun". I wasn’t expecting her to right away come up with the idea to go to a cruise. I was at work when I recieved a phone call. It was my aunt, she tells me we are going to mexico!!". I was confused and said what do mean were going to mexico?" yes were going to a cruise" she replied."Do you think you can save eight hundred and fifty dollars in a month"? I've been saving up for something big so I had the money. I really had to get back to work so at the moment I said " why not? lets do it .

Ive been on a cruise before to St. john , Canada. The tickets were cheap, they were around four hundred dollars, I was excited but when we got there it was so cold, we didnt even go to the pool. We really understood why it wa so cheap in the first place. It was so dead also.we felt like we had the whole ship to ourselves. Which wasnt all that bad.The buffet all to ourselves, the gym, the basketball court, the ping pong table, and the casino. The point was to travel some place interesting, have some life expirience. That wasnt the case here so we wanted this to be different.
On our way to Mexico we got there and the boat was so beautiful and huge. It makes me think how something so big and heavy can float so lightly on the water. It was so hot outside so we wanted to get inside so bad where the air conditioner was waiting for us. But they take things very seriously before u get on the boat, They check your passport, ask you some questions and it’s a very long process but I don’t want to bored you with that part. Let’s just say we got inside the boat so smoothly and easy.
So when we get inside we got to meet the captain. It must be great being a captain on a cruise, always traveling the world, partying, always in a good mood. We started walking to our rooms which took us a while, everyone was trying to get to certain place first. People running around up the stairs, down the stairs, reminded me of a scene on “titanic”.When we got to our rooms, we saw that there was one bed?? There was three of us.But then on the wall there was two small ropes which we pulled and two beds appeared right off the wall which was very cool. After organizing all of our clothes, putting everything where they belong, we can suddenly feel the boat moving. You have to be careful when u walk because out of nowhere the boat will move and you will start zig zagging around like as if you were dancing.

I think its crazy how you can do so many things on a boat, I wish it was the same at my house. You are able to play basketball, ping pong, mini golf, if you’re old enough you can head to the casino, relax and take a drink. There was this small museum that shows you the history of the ship, paintings of old captains, I really like how it was all set up. Let’s not forget the food, all you can eat buffet. There was Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and even regular American food. On top of that there was a dinner with the captain at six o'clock in the afternoon. I was really enjoying myself.

When we got to mexico I wasn't really expecting to be so beautiful, I woke up starring at my room window to a beautiful light blue beach, with nice palm trees, and It was just breath taking. I was just happy to have my grandparents with me because we don't really get to see them a lot. Their faces were priceless , they were very excited. We all got up and started leaving before we got stuck behind a huge line to get off the boat. When you get off , they give you a map to all the destinations you could go visit. We all decided for our first destination to go to the "seven mile beach". which was very beautiful, you can go kayak, you can rent a jet ski. The sun was burning hot , in minutes I was getting very red.

After an hour or two we decide to start heading to our next destination, They were saying it was a private beach, you pay fifty dollars and you can stay there all day, eat whatever you want, unlimited drinks. It was a good deal because I felt like I ate like a hundred and twenty dollars’worth of food. There were beautiful beds like the ones you see in a magazine or movies. People were very
friendly, because they were taking my money but I would like to think that they are just really friendly.
Overall it was a life changing experience , It was different, I'm glad to be living my life to the fullest, you only live once. My family has gotten stronger together from this experience and we are already planning to go back next summer.
                                              The Mistery of Our Future

We all ask ourselves and wonder for a very long period of time what do we want to be when we grow up? We want to be sucessful and make our families proud. Some might just want to be filthy rich and not work a second more. Me, for example I always wanted to be a cop, a police officer or a correctional officer. It all started when I was young playing video games , staying up all night watching crime movies. I remember when I got my first gaming system at age 10, a nintendo sixty four with a 007 game with James Bond. Those were the good days, staying up all night eating a big bowl of lucky charms. This is where my passion came from, I was dominant playing this game. I remember playing this game with friends and cousins and I took this game really seriously. If I lost the game I would truly feel like I actually died in real life. I would walk slow, crawl, hide like if it was real, and you could even see me shaking my hands trying to hold on to the controller. It goes way back, but I really wonder do we really know what our future holds?

I've seen police officers in real life and it's a tough job ,I've seen police officers get really badly hurt and injured. It's a really dangerous job and I wonder do I really want that.Do I really want to put my family through that, I did my research to find out how many deaths in the U.S for police officers and found out that it's an average of one death every 58 hours. This is something I might have to think about. As a kid I had the a passion for learning different types of weapons and taking someone down, but now as I grew up and understand the job of being a police officer is more that I just like helping people and doing the right thing. My whole life my mother has been telling me I want you to make something of yourself, I want you to do well and I want you to follow your heart. Sometimes you start growing passions for other things and they go away in six months

I remember one time when I was watching the X games during the summer on TV, and I was amazed at how cool it was. I immediatley told my mother I want a skateboard for Christmas, I wanted to be a profesional, one of the best. So my mother did that for me and bought a fifty dollars board, twenty five dollars wheels, ten dollar bearrings and I even got some new shoes. She Spend over a hundred and fifty dollars on this. Let's just say it wasn't that easy, I expected to ride a skateboard smoothly like the guys from TV and instead I was falling off of it every five seconds. By the end of the day I would be in pain, My passion for being a proffesional skateboarder was gone, I hated it.
My point is you just dont know what in the world your future holds. I still have the passion for being a police officer but who knows maybe in the future things might change. The only thing that I really want to make sure is that whatever it is I choose I hope that I am happy and never regret what I have chosen.

I lived with my grandparents during the weekdays because it was so close to my school, then by Friday my mom would pick me and my sister up after school. I will always remember waking up every morning to the smell of bacon. I would get dressed in a rush like my favorite superhero 'the flash" speeding to the dining room. I could already see my friends had arrived and were eating all the bacon. My grandmother liked to feed everyone I know She's a good woman.  She cares very much about everyone, never afraid of anyone. I feel like she would stare at a terrorist dead in the eye and tell him "why are you so mad?" relax have some bacon".

My grandfather on the other hand was a lot more strict. He was a very clean person, and classy. He would wear a suit to eat breakfast and go absolutely nowhere. He was a gentleman. You could even say he was a ladies man. He was a pretty good looking guy back in his days, There are photos all over the house of him and his Colgate smile. He knew he was good looking. He knew he was the man and i looked up to him. Then after we all finished eating, I would kiss my grandmother on the cheek goodbye. She might then try to give me a prayer that would be so long that school might be over by the time she's done, so i try to leave as soon as possible. My friend would kiss her goodbye also like it was his own grandmother. I would give anything to have another morning like that.

My first day in school , I believe it was in fifth grade. I was very nervous, instead of butterflies in my stomach ,it felt more like i had bees. My stomach was killing me. How was i going to communicate, how will i understand my teacher. I got to class and i sat down. The teacher pointed me out and said "get up and introduce yourself luis". All eyes were on me, this was so embarrassing. There was this girl who caught my attention. She was blonde, and blued eyed. She was so beautiful, which made me even more nervous. I just stood there like a deer in the headlights. All of a sudden the teacher says "sit down'. My guess is he realized I did not speak english. I can tell people were laughing at me, whispering things about me like i was completely deaf. This was something i wasnt used to. Back home i was the man, I was popular. I was respected. I dont like this at all.

When I arrived at the airport I remember asking "did we make the right choice? One hour ago it was hot and now its freezing cold. Arriving to JFK in shorts in the middle of october was probably not a good idea People looked at me like i did not belong. I realized here in the U.S you get judged a lot.( For example) they judge you over your shoes, haircut , the way u speak, the way you walk, it's ridicoulous. We started following the signs leading us to where our luggage was at. When we got there i see a man spreading his arms wide open smiling at me like if i knew him for a very long time. My mother walks torwards the man and hugs him, This is your uncle Amaury my mother says. I started to realize they both did look alike ,it was her brother.
